Know all men by these presents that I John P. Hensbe of the County of Rockingham and State of North Carolina hath this day bargained Sold and Delivered unto James Finley of the County of Guilford and State afs. [aforesaid] a Certain Negro woman named Libby for a consideration of the Sum of three hundred and ninety seven and a half Dollars to me in hand paid by Sd. [said] Finley which Negro I the said Hensbe do warrant and Defend unto the Sd. [said] Finley his Heirs and assigns for Ever free from me and my Heirs and assigns for ever and free from all and Every other Lawful Claim whatsoever given under my hand and Seal this 27th day of October 1810.
