Know all men by these presents that I William. Mcgee Senior Of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and Six Dollars the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained Sold and Delivered unto Levi Ross of the County and State aforesaid and do by these presents Sell over bargain Sell and Deliver a Certain negro girl Named Serena Eight years old to the only proven use and behoof affirm the said Levi Ross and I the Said William. Mcgee Senior for myself my Heirs executors and administrators unto the said Levi Ross his Heirs or assigns the Said Negro girl Serena from every person or person whatsoever do by these presents warrant and for ever Defend in witness whareof I have hereunto sit my hand and seal this fourteenth day of January A.D. 1814.
