Know all men by these presents that I Isbel McClintock of Guilford County and State of North Carolina in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Dollars to me in hand paid by Joshua Ballinger before the Sealing and Delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained sold released delivered granted and confirmed unto the said Joshua Ballinger one Certain Negro fellow named Tobe to have and to hold all and Singular the said Negro fellow and Every aforesaid hereby these presents bargained sold released Granted and Confirmed unto the only proper use and behoof of the said Joshua Ballinger his heirs executors administrators and assigns all and singular the said Negro fellow unto the said Joshua Ballinger his executors administrators and assigns the said Isabel McClintock my executors administrators or assigns and will Warrant and forever defend all person or persons by these presents in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the Eleventh day of May Eighteen Hundred and fourteen (1814).
