Know all men by these presents that I William Anderson of the state of No. Carolina and county of Guildford have sold and delivered unto Peter Huffman of Guildford County a negro boy named George aged about sixteen for the sum of four hundred and forty dollars the right of whareof I do hereby acknowledge and I do warrant and defend said negro from all persons unto the said Peter Huffman also that he is a sound and sensible and is a slave for life in witness whareof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th of March 1815.
