State of N. Carolina Guilford County } Know all men by these presents that I William Cusick of the county and state aforesaid for and in consideration of the god will and affection which I bear unto my son Jedediah Cusick doth give grant and by these presents doth give grant and confirm unto him a Negroe boy named Thom aged Twenty years of age the title of which boy I warrant and defend unto the said Jedediah Cusick his heirs and assigns for ever from all and Every other person or persons having a legal claim unto said Negro in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th of April 1816.
