Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Cummins of the County of Guilford and state of North Carolina Executor of the Cummins Deceased have on the twentieth of June 1817 sold unto Henry Cobb of the County and state aforesaid by way of publick sale one Negro man by the name of Austin for the sum of six hundred and Eleven Dollars to me in hand paid on or before the delivering of these presents which Negro I do warrant and forever Defend from me my heirs executors or administration and all other persons having or laying any lawful claim unto stated Negro in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of June Eighteen hundred and seventeen.
