This indenture witnesseth that I William Cusick of the County and State aforesaid for and in Consideration of the love good will and affection which I bear unto my daughter Ann Smith have given granted and by these presents doth give grant assign and confirm Negro girl named Rhody aged thirteen years old the title of which Negro girl I warrant and defend to the said Ann Smith or heirs or assigns for ever from all and every person having a legal claim unto the said girl in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth of August 1814.
