Know all men by these presents that I Richard Ozment Senior of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina hath bargained and Sold a Certain Negroe boy Named Sam Supposed to be the age of Twenty one years old unto Thos. Ozment of the Same County and State aforesaid for the Sum of Three hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid which Negroe boy is a Sound and healthy Boy as far as I know do warrant the above Described Negro and I the Sd. Richard Ozment Senior Warrant and Defend the Said Negroe boy from being the Just and Lawfull Claim of any person or persons whatsoever unto the Sd. Thos. Ozment his Heirs or assigns for ever will warrant and Defend them. In witness whareof I the Said Richard Ozment have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this tenth day of June 1814
