Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Hussey of Guilford county and state of North Carolina for and in Consideration of the just and full sum of five hundred and eighty dollars to me in hand paid by Aaron Coffin of Stokes County and state aforesaid have bargained and sold unto the said Aaron Coffin a certain male malatto slave Named Jack aged about forty five years and I the stated Thomas Hussey do hereby obligate myself my heirs executors and administrators for ever hereafter to warrant and defend the Stated property of the stated slave unto him the stated Aaron Coffin his heirs and assigns against the lawfull the lawfull claim and demand of any person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof I the stated Thomas Hussey have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth Day of August 1818.
