Know all men by these presents that we Mark Weatherly and Edward Weatherly executors of the estate of Edward Weatherly Deceased having obtained an order from the County court of Guilford at their last May session to sell a negro woman named Ann and her three children named Eliya Carter and Ben property of and belonging to the said estate and after due notice was given by us of the time and place said negros would be offered for sale the same were all or singly set up when and when William Donnell Jr. became the purchaser being the last and highest bidder for the sum of twelve hundred dollars we therefore do hereby warrant and defend the said Negroes Ann her the children Eliya Carter and Ben slaves for life unto the said Donnell Junior and his heirs and assigns it being for and in consideration above mentioned sum of twelve hundred dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge as witness hands and seals this 19th day of June 1819.
