Know all men by these presents that I George Cabal of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand have by these presents bargained delivered and sold unto my son in law George Cabal Shatterly of the County and State aforesaid a Negro girl slave Hannah with her increase from this time and by these presents doth warrant and defend unto my son in law George Shatterly the said Negro girl slave named Hannah and her increase forever from one or my heirs or assigns or any other person having any just claim to the said Negro girl slave Hannah to hold and defend unto the said George Shatterly his heirs or assigns for ever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of August in the year of our Lord 1814.
