Know all men by these presents that I Edward Weatherly Junior of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina for and n consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars lawfull money paid to me by Martin Womack Senior of the County and State aforesaid the Right whereof I do hereby acknowledge doth hereby bargain and Sell unto the Said Martin Womack Senior his his heirs and assigns for ever one negro boy called Louis Luis to have and to hold to the said Martin Womack his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Edward Weatherby for myself my heirs executors administrators covenant with the said Martin Womack that I am lawfully seized of the said boy that I will warrant and Defend the same to the said Martin Womack his heirs and assigns for ever against the lawfull claim of all persons provided nevertheless that I the said Edward Weatherly my heirs, executors administrators shall will and duly pay to the said Martin Womack Senior his heirs executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of $212 dollars on or before the twenty sixth day of February 1824 with interest from the same until paid then this deed shall be void (crossed out line) and of none effect otherwise to Remain in full force and virtue in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of November 1821 }
