Know all men by these presents, that I John Woodburn of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Larkin L. Baldwin whereof I do hereby acknowledge the receipt and myself therewith fully satisfied have bargained sold and delivered unto the said Larkin L. Baldwin two negros one named Huldah a girl of nine years old the other a boy named Paris of six years old to have and to hold the said negros Hulda and Paris unto the said Larkin L. Baldwin his heirs executors administrators or assigns to the only proper use of said Baldwin his heirs or assigns forever as witness my hand and seal this 14th day of September 1820.
