Know all men by these presents that I Allen Woodburn of the state of N. Carolina and county of Guilford for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars do bargain sell and deliver to Jedediah Cusack of said County and state a negro boy named Daniel aged fourteen years sound and healthy the title of said boy I do warrant and for ever defend to said Cusack from all and every other persons having a lawfull claim to the same in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 28th day of February 1823.
The condition of the above bill of sale and Bargain are such that if Allen Woodburn does pay or cause to be paid two judgments one to the amount of $85 dollars to Asa Ledenham and one of thirty five dollars to Zachary Swain so as to clear the said Cusack from all damages on account of his staying these judgments there the above bill of sale to the said and of no effect otherwise to stand and remain in full force and virtue.
