Know all men by these presents that I William Madow of the County and State above written for and in Consideration for the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars in hand paid by Thomas Dick of the County and State above Written have bargained Sold and delivered unto the Sd. Thomas Dick his heirs and assigns for Ever five Certain Negro Slaves (viz) Selah and four of her Children - Selah thirty one years of age Harper the Eldest Son Fifteen years of age George eleven years of age Mark Seven years of age and Sucking girl child about six months of age the Right and Title of which Said Negroes and Increase I the Said William Madow do hereby warrant and for Ever Defend to the Said Thomas Dick and his heirs and assigns for ever and further that Each of the said Negroes above named Sound and healthy in mind and body to the best of my Knowledge In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 27th day of June 1823.
