Know all men by these presents that I John M. Morehead by virtue of a deed of trust to me executed by Joseph Davis and his wife Sally, bearing date Eleventh November 1822 and of record in the county of Guilford N.C. have this day bargained and sold for the purposes Specified in said deed, and according to the Terms of said Deed Into Henry Humphreys one negro girl named Ann aged about Ten years at the price of One Hundred and Seventy Two Dollars and I do hereby, convey, into the said Henry Humphreys all the right Title and interest in and to said negro Ann in as full and ample A manner as the same vested in me by virtue of said deed in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 17 November 1824.
