Know all men by these presents that I Daniel Gillaspie of the County And State Aforesaid for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and fifty Dollars to me in hand paid by Elizabeth Starratt the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge doth by these presents Bargain Sell and deliver Unto the Said Elizabeth Starratt a Negro Girl of the age of Ten years (named Minerva) which Said Negro I forever warrant and Defend to the Said Elizabeth Starratt and her Heirs and assigns from the lawfull Claim or Claims of every person whomsoever - In Testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand this 22nd day of July AD 1825.
