Know all men by these presents that we Jacob Lovet and Sary his wife of the county of Guilford and state of North Carolina have this day sold and delivered unto Vestel Coffin and Eleazer Hunt both of the county of Guilford and state aforesaid for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to us in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents. Our negro man Dick about thirty-five years of age which Title to the said Dick we warrant and forever defend free and clear of all Titles Claims or demands whatsoever of in and to the said Dick from our Selves our heirs Executors administrators or assigns, to have and to hold to the said Vestel Coffin and Eleazer Hunt and their heirs forever the said Negro man Dick. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the 17th day of November AD 1825.
