Know all these men by these presents that I Jacob Walker of Guilford County, North Carolina on and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and seventy dollars to me in hand paid by James Hunter before the sealing and delivery of these presents whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said James Hunter his executors and administrators and assigns a certain negro woman called Charlotte aged thirty years also her child a boy called Charles aged three years to have and to hold the said negros Charlotte and Charles to the said James Hunter his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Jacob Walker for myself my heirs executors and administrators both and each of the said negroes Charlotte and Charles unto the said James Hunter his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Jacob Walker my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons Whom so ever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of both and each of said negros Charlotte and Charles I the said Jacob Walker have put the said James Hunter in free possession by delivery to him before the sealing and delivering of these presents witness my hand and seal this 2nd day of November 1825.
