Know all men by the presents that I, James McNairy administrators of the estate of Lucy Peebles deceased, have bargained and sold unto John M. Morehead Esq of Guilford County N. Carolina a Negro Fellow named George aged about twenty-one years old at the price of five hundred and twelve dollars, the receipt of which sum of the said John M. Morehead Esq. I hereby acknowledge and I do hereby convey and transfer unto the said John M. Morehead Esq. all the right and title in and to the said Negro George which vested in me as administrator aforesaid and I do hereby warrant and defend the title to the said Negro George to the said John M. Morehead Esq his heirs and assigns forever, as administrator aforesaid and no further as witness my hand and seal this the 12th day of December 1825.
