Know all men by these presents that I George Manlove of Highland County Ohio have this day for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to me in hand paid. The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged given bargained, sold and conveyed, and do by these presents give bargain sell and convey unto Edward Trotter of Guilford County North Carolina all the right title and interest and property that I now have or may hereafter have in my own right or in right of my wife Hannah in and to certain Negros to Wit Alee, Jacob Hanson and Sais which negro Alee was given by Josiah Trotter in his last will and testament to his wife for life or during her widowhood and at the expiration of her life or widowhood he gave her to Hanner Croner now my wife Hanner Manlove the other three Negros being children of the said Alee and I hereby bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the title to said Negros unto the said Edward Trotter his heirs and assigns against myself and all persons claiming under me witness my hand and seal this 12th day of March 1824.
