Know all men by these presents that we William Britton and William Tease of county of Guilford for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Latham Donnell of the county aforesaid and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whareof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained sold released granted and confirmed and by these presents for bargain sell release and confirm unto the Lathom Donnell a negro girl named charity to have and to hold all and singular the said negro girl and by these presents have bargained sold released granted and conferred unto the only proper use and behoof of the said Lathom Donnell his heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever and the said William Britton and William Tease for ourselves administrators and assigns all and singular the said Negro girl Charity unto the said Lathom Donnell his heirs executors administrators and assigns against us the said William Britton and William Tease our heirs and assigns and against all and every other person and heirs on whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents in witness whereof we have set our hand and seals. August the 9th 1808.
