John Noblett of Burke County, NC sold four enslaved people and an 80 acre property to George H. Hogan of Burke County on March 1, 1843. In this fourth document John Noblett sells to George Hogan “…one Negro boy known by the name of Charles between 17 and 18 years old…” for $650. No further information about Charles or his relationships, but he and the other three enslaved could be a sibling group.
