RUN-AWAY from the town of Halifax, about the 15th of December last, a Negro Fellow, named CHANCE, belonging to the estate of William Martin, dec. stout made, of a dark compexion, about five feet three or four inches high, between 35 and 38 years of age, has a set of remarkable fine teeth which he shows very much when he speaks, of a smiling countenance--has been very much whipped on the back ; took off with him a quantity of clothing, a horse which he called his own, and four silver dollars. Any person delivering said slave to Col. Nicholas Long, in Halifax, or to the subscriber in Granville county, shall be entitled to the above reward.
