RAN AWAY from the subscriber, in July, 1789, a negro fellow named London, between 30 and 40 years old, five feet eight inches high--yellow countenance, straight and slim made, very small sleepy eyes, walks very upright, short feet and thick ancles [sic] one of his ears has been cut, speaks good English, he formerly belonged to a gentlemen living at the Cheraw Hills. I expect he will endeavour to pass for a free man. I will give ten pounds reward and pay all reasonable charges to any person who will deliver him to me, in Mecklinburgh county, on Big Sugar Creek, near the old nation ford. LITTLEBERRY SMARTT.
