TAKEN UP and committed to the Jail of New Hanover county, a Negro Boy, who gives his name as PETER, and says he belongs to Doct. Long, of Weldon, and was hired on the Tarboro' branch of W. & W. R. R. The boy is 5 feet 9 inches high, 30 years old, slender built, weighs about 125 pounds, and is of a dark bacon color.
