$1,000 REWARD. Ranaway from the subscriber on the 23d Dec, a valuable Mulatto boy, 17 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches high, had on when he left a black cloth over-coat, dark straw hat. The boy ADAM carries himself erect, smiles when spoken to. I purchased the boy from A. C. Kelly, of Mocksville, where he had been staying for two weeks. The boy was bought in Augusta, Ga. I will give the above reward for the boy if delivered to me at my house, near Rowan Mills, Rowan Co., N. C., or Two Hundred Dollars if lodged in some safe jail so I may get him again. T. SCOTT WOOD.
