TAKEN UP And committed to the Jail of Mecklenburg county, on the 9th inst., a Negro Man who says his name is GEORGE, and belongs to Martin McCarty of Edgefield District, S. C. He is 5 feet 7 inches high, black, and has a singular shaped head--probably 30 years old. The owner is hereby notified to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take the negro away, or he will be dealt with as the law directs. C. WILSON, Jailor. March 27, 1865.
