FIFTY DOLLARS REWARD. RANAWAY from the subscriber in the county of Halifax, N.C. my negro boy by the name of JOHN; belonging to the estate of William Shepard. He is a dark mulatto fellow--about six feet in height--spare form, and has a belmish over one of his eyes, apparently the effect of small pox: he is a bricklayer by trade. It is supposed that he is in Wilmington or Fayetteville, or in the vicinity of some of the large towns in this State. The above reward will be given for the detection and deliverance of said negro to me, and reasonable charges paid. JOHN S. SHEPARD. Feb. [February] 7, 1824. The Editors of the Cape Fear Recorder and Carolina Observer, are requested to give the above three insertions.
