Abstract
Mary Douglas, a free woman of color, seeks compensation for her slave, William Irvine, who was "tried and convicted of Stabbing, Bruising and wounding a white man" named John Cramer “and was executed agreeable to Sentence on 17th Augt 1832." The petitioner therefore prays that she be granted "the amount usual on such occasions."
