Abstract
In January 1818, Alexander Nelson paid $450 to Larkin Wilson for a slave named Jenny Olzer. Wilson gave a warranty that Jenny was in good health. Jenny proved, however, unable to attend to her duties as a slave "and has been an expense" to the petitioner. Due to her ill health, Nelson has incurred medical expenses. The petitioner sues Wilson for $500 in damages.
Result: Denied.
