Telcide Ricard, a free woman of color, presents to the court that she is the "legitimate daughter" of Maximilien and Marie Louise Clotilde Ricard, both deceased. She further presents that she has attained the age of puberty, being "more than twelve years" years old, and is thus legally authorized to choose her Curator. She therefore asks the court to appoint Augustin Borrie as curator and St. Luc Ricard as "curator ad lites." Both Augustin Borrie and St. Luc Ricard are free men of color.
