Abstract
Thomas Lawrence, guardian of the minor heirs of Thomas and Priscilla McConnell, asks permission to sell eight slaves in the estate for three reasons: "several of them are now aged and daily becoming more infirm ... in case of the decease of any of them it would be an entire loss to his Wards," and because the three heirs which are of age "are desirous the said slaves should be sold."
