Abstract
One hundred and twenty-five members of the Baltimore Association for the Education of Colored Children petition against Mary Ridgely, treasurer of said organization. The petitioners, all free people of color, cite that Ridgely has been voted out of office and replaced by Deborah Thomas. They further state that Ridgely refuses to give up "the Effects of the Association in her possession" as required by the bylaws. The petitioners pray the court to direct Ridgely "to bring into Court the Books, papers, funds and effects in her hands of the association aforesaid and to render account thereof."
Result: Partially granted; dismissed; appealed.
