Abstract
Lewis and David claim that "by the last will and testament of Betty Reynolds ... she did liberate and manumit and set free your petitioners at the age of twenty seven years." The petitioners "have respectively attained the age aforesaid and are now entitled to their freedom; but are still held and kept in slavery by a certain Edward Reynolds." They ask for "such relief in the premises as may be in accordance with the Law" and for the court to subpoena Edward Reynolds.
Result: Granted; appealed; dismissed.
