The widow and heirs of the late Henson Pope complain that an estate slave named Charlotte "hath become ungovernable and dangerous to the family, threatening to destroy them by poison or otherwise." They assert that she should not be "permitted to remain on the plantation or the County." They ask to sell Charlotte and divide the proceeds among family members according to Pope's will.
