William Green, a free person of color, petitions for a divorce from his wife Ann Valentine Green, who is also a free person of color. William states that "they lived together only a short time say about 4 year when Ann became so vile and impure and behaved so badly that she left and has lived away from him and in adultery ofen with any body who sought her ---She has had children by others." William prays to be granted a divorce.
