Ball of the City of Washington in the District of Columbia sells to\nAlexander McCormick of the same place, for $5.00, a Negro man named James age about 30 and\na Negro girl named Milly age about 11, along with one horse, one cow, three beds and bedsteads\nand various pieces of furniture and household items. Alexander McCormick has become security\non some notes of Henry Ball\u0027s. If Henry Ball pays off the notes so that Alexander McCormick\nwill not be liable, then this bill of sale will be null and void. But, if not, then it will be lawful for\nAlexander McCormick to sell as much of the property as necessary to cover the notes.
