Richard Bland Lee of Washington City in the District of Columbia, states that \"by virtue\nof a power to me reserved in a certain deed of trust executed by me on 9 January 1809 to\nEdmund [S.] Lee, William Maffitt and Richard Coleman, which deed is recorded in Fairfax Co.,\nVirginia and which was conveyed to the Trustees among other property, furniture and slaves, a\ncertain colored woman named Letty and which slave has since had three children, William age\nabout 6, Alfred age about 4 and Alexander (or Alick) age about 4 months and Letty being now\nage about 23.\"\nRichard B. Lee states the conditional right he has to sell the trust property and states that, for\n$850, he sold Letty and her three children to General Daniel Parker of Washington City \"and has\nconveyed other property to the trust in lieu of\u0027 Letty and the children to the full value of $850.\nHe states he conveys complete title to Daniel Parker.
