At the request of William Stewart [Steuart] the bill of sale was recorded on 23 July 1801. Richard Wilson of the District of Columbia owes William Stewart of George Town 134 pounds and three shillings current money of Maryland. To secure the payment of this debt and any interest thereon, Richard Wilson will give over to William Stewart the following, if the debt is not paid by 11 November 1801: two feather beds, six green Windsor chairs, one green painted bedstead, Lignium Vita dining table, a Negro woman slave Dinah and one female child Nancy, Dinah's daughter, and also the future increase of the slaves. If the debt is paid by 11 November 1801, the sale will be void.
