Know all men by these presents that I James McCaley of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina have bargained sold and delivered and by these presents doth bargain sell and Deliver unto Henry Cobb Jr. of the one County of Guilford and State aforementioned one Negro girl named Fanney for and in consideration of the sum of thee hundred& Twenty dollars to me in hand paid by the Sd. Henry Cobb Jr. and I the Sd. James McCawley for myself my heir executors and administrators do by these presents warrant the Right and Title of the Sd. Negro girl Fanney unto him the Sd. Henry Cobb his heirs executors and administrators against the claim right title interest or demand of all persons whatsoever as free and clear of all incumbrance and as for the soundness of the Sd. Negro I will not warrant and by these presents for ever Defend in witness whereof hereunto I set my hand and Seal this 18th day of December 1811.
