Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Fulton senior of Guilford County in the state of North Carolina have for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain sell and confirm unto George Fulton of the county and state aforesaid one certain Negroe boy named Isham aged two years and one month old for the aforesaid sum of one hundred and fifty dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and I the said Samuel Fulton Sr. hereby -- hereby give and grant unto the said George Fulton a full free and clear title to the said negroe boy Isham a slave for life and I the said Samuel Fulton do hereby warrant the right and title to the said boy Isham to be free and clear of all incumbrances and do for me and my heirs and against me and my heirs and against all and every other person do warrant and forever defend to the only proper use and benefit of the said George Fulton his heirs and assigns for ever in witness whereof I have the said Samuel Fulton have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of May Anno Domini 1812.
