Edward Beville to William C. Love Deed of Trust for [...]. This deed executed this 19th day of April 1812 Between Edward Beville of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina of the one part and William C. Love of the County of Rowan and the State of [North Carolina] of the other part. We [...] that the said Edward Beville stands lawfully indebted to Robert Lindsay merchant of the County of Guilford and State [of North Carolina] Namely in the sum of three hundred and thirty three dollars money of the United States and bring [...] to secure to him the same with the lawfull interest arising thereon in consideration whereof and the sum of five shillings to him in hand paid by the [so] William C. Love he the [so] Edward Beville Bargained sold and delivered and by these presents both bargain sell and deliver his Negroes Slaves To me and Bridges to the [so] William C. Love his heirs and assigns in total and for the following purpose and uses that is to say that if the said, Edward Beville shall fail to pay the sum of $333.00 with interest from the Date of his deed To shall and may be lawfull for the said William C. Love his heirs or aforegone or another person's authorized by him after giving ten day free [...] Notice to sell and dispose of for ready money the aforesaid Negroes Slaves Tom and Bridges and to pay the money so raised to Robert Lindsay his heirs sole or so much as will satisfy the before mentioned debt of $333 with interest and the remainder if any there be shall be returned to the [so] Edward Beville after deducting the attorneys fee and the costs of sale and shall the said Edward Beville pay to the [so] Rob Lindsay his heirs and the sum of $333.00 with the interest from the sale of this deed on or before the first of January 1812. Then and in that case this deed shall cease and become void or otherwise remain in full force and virtue in testimony whereof the [so] Edward Beville hath hereinto sell his hand and seal the day and year above.
