Know all men by these presents that I William Magee for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds of Lawfull Money of the State of North Carolina to me in hand paid by Henry Magee of the Sd. [said] County of Guilford at or Before the Sealing and Delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the Sd. William Magee do hereby fully acknowledge have granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain and Sell unto the Sd. Henry Magee his Executor Administrator and assigns a C11ertain Negroe girl known by the Name of Selah about four years old to have and to hold the Sd. Negro Selah will all the profits and increase of the Sd. Negro girl to the Sd. Henry Magee his Executor Administrator all and assigns for ever and I the Sd. [said] William Magee for myself my Heirs Executor and Administrator all and Singular the Sd. Negro Selah unto the Sd. [said] Henry Magee his Executor Administrator and assigns against one the Sd. [said] William Magee my Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person and persons whomever Shall and will Warrant and forever Defend by these presents of the Sd. Negroe- Selah which I the Sd. Wm [William] Magee have put the Sd. Henry Magee in full possession by Delivering to him the Sd. Henry Magee the Sd. Negro girl Selah at the Sealing and delivering of these presents in witness whereof I the Sd. [said] William Magee Hath hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Nineteenth day of October 1812.
