Know all men by these presents that I Daniel May of the County of Orange and State of N. Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars kash sum I do here by acknowledge to have Received from Filty Devault of the County of Lincoln in said State. I do sell and Convey to him his heirs and assigns for ever one negro girl by the name of Trake thirteen years old and do from my self and my heirs for ever warrant and defend the said Negro girl as witness my hand and seal this 20th day of October 1816.
