Five Pounds Reward. RAN away from the subscriber on the 17th of August last, a likely young negro man named JAMES, about 21 years of age, five feet 7, or 8 inches high, of a yellowish complexion, by trade a blacksmith; most used to making axes, he stoops forward in his knees and body as if he as a burden on his back--his back is marked with the whip, he has a scar on one of his elbows occasioned by a burn; has small legs and very large feet--has a bold look, speaks good English and can tell a smooth tale--born on Trent river.--He had on and took with him the following clothes, viz. one blue great coat dyed in the cloth and turned whitish where it is worn, middling fine cloth, also a tight bodied coat, with holes at the elbows and under the arms, and a rent in shoulder; also a sky blue homespun do. and a jacket of nearly the same---also a homespun white linen jacket, a pair of corduroy, and a pair of buckskin breeches; new last fall, but worn in the crotch, two pair of trowsers, two shirts and fine new white shirt (6s. linen) stock and stock buckle, a pair of hold shoes and a pair of of sky coloured stockings--a new wool hat with purple ribbon round it and an older rackoon one. Whoever will take up said negro and return him to me, or secure him in any gaol so that I get him again, shall have the above reward and all reasonable charges paid by. AARON LAMBERT. N.B.
