RUNAWAY FROM the subscriber on the 19th ult. a Negro Man by the name of JOHN, of dark complection, about five feet 8 or 9 inches high, knock kneed, has a scar on the back part the head which he endeavours to hide by platting his hair over it; he pretends to have a great knowledge of the scripture, and talks much about it--This fellow was committed to the Jail of this county as a runaway on the 22d of June last, and at the last County Court was hired out for three months. He had an iron collar on his neck with the letters P.G. marked thereon. Any person that will bring him to me or secure him in any Jail so that I can get him again, shall receive a reward of ten dollars, and all reasonable expences paid. WILL.[William] SCURLOCK.
