$50 Reward. RANAWAY from the Subscriber on the 29th of August, my negro man, known by the name of KIT HAMELTON. He is very dark skin and has a blemish in his right eye; six feet high quite stout. He has a wife at Oliver Chadwicks on the Straits but he may make his way to Newbern or Washington N. C. He has always followed the water and is well acquainted about Portsmouth, masters of vessels will look out for him. I will give the above reward for him delivered to me, or twenty-five Dollars if confined in any Jail in the State so that I get him again. GEO. [George] W. TAYLOR. Beanfort [sic], N. C.
