TAKE UP THE RUNAWAY!

TAKE UP THE RUNAWAY! RANAWAY FROM THE SUBSCRIBER, ON THE 4th February, 1865, my negro man SANDERS, (or SAM.) He is about twenty-three years old, near six feet high, rather spare built, but very perfect in form and action, speaks quick and distinct when spoken to, with a good set of front teeth; had on, when he left, a cap, grey pants and blue round-about coat. It is believed this man (a dark brown color, nearly black,) is making his way to our army near Petersburg, and it may be to the enemy. Now this notice is to request all persons in and out of the army to apprehend said boy so that I get him, and I will give, for his apprehension and delivery to me, five hundred dollars in Confederate currency or a coresponding sum, if apprehended and confined so I can get him. WM. [William] B. BOWE. Yanceyville, Caswell county, N. C. March 25,1865. 284--5t*.
