NOTICE. Taken up and committed to the Jail of Sampson county, a negro Man, supposed to be a runaway, who says his name is JOHN, and belongs to the minor heirs of Mr Davis, of Duplin county, where John Parker is guardian, and his place of hiring is at Kinston, Lenoir county. Said negro is about 5 feet 8 or 10 inches high, weighs about 150 pounds, and is about 25 or 30 years of age and rather of a light complexion. The owner or owners are requested to come forward, prove property, pay all legal charges, and take him away, otherwise he will be dealt with according to law. J. W. ROBERTS, Jailor.
